Services

I utilize multiple modalities depending on the need of the client, sometimes combining different techniques at once. The inner wisdom of the client is the ultimate guide during our sessions and I pull from many different philosophies to create feelings of safety and calm to allow the natural process of healing to unfold.

IFS

IFS, or Internal Family Systems, is a technique that views the psyche as a system, made up of the Self (sometimes called Higher Self, Inner Buddha, Christ Consciousness, Intuition, etc.) and various sub-parts that take on roles over time in their attempt to protect the system. The idea is that there are no bad parts, even though their effects may seem damaging. The goal in IFS is to identify these parts, validate their efforts and eventually guide them in releasing the maladaptive roles they've taken on, allowing for them to take on healthier ones

Somatic Experiencing

Somatic Experiencing is a technique that uses bodily sensations as the guide in processing trauma and stress that can be stored in the body. Sometimes the process may happen completely somatically with little cognition, and other times might be combined with cognitive processing via traditional talk therapy.
